BCL organizes its outreach to companies by sector

No matter their sector, all companies have a stake in how the world addresses climate change. In the words of Barry Parkin, Chief Sustainability and Health and Wellbeing Officer for Mars (of candy fame, not the planet):

We know we cannot grow and prosper unless the planet, people and communities on which we rely are healthy and thriving.

Any company is liable to suffer climate disruptions, including:

  • Supply chain interruptions: product availability, shipping

  • Price fluctuations

  • Political instability

  • Disruptions to business as usual that affect workers and consumers alike, and grind local economies to a halt, including health, housing, food and water, transportation, electricity and gas

  • Damage to infrastructure, affecting both internal and external operations

  • Increased insurance and other costs

In light of these and other steadily worsening aspects of the climate crisis, our request of businesses both large and small is urgent and simple:  Don’t sit on the sidelines. Make a choice. Get involved. And join us.

Other sectors

Led by BCL co-founder Harold Hedelman, the Other Sectors Team engages companies from business sectors for which BCL doesn’t yet have a targeted sector team.
